He takes a meticulous, thorough and holistic approach to dentistry - while my first visit was a bit rough, he helped me realize precisely how to improve my oral hygiene in order to meet his high standards. Every visit afterwards was nearly painless. The guy knows what he is doing, and he is invested in every aspect of his patients’ oral health.

"I just got out of my first appointment with Dr. Diercks, and boy am I glad that I picked him randomly off of my insurance’s website.

I have had a lot of dentists and oral surgeons in the past few years, and after it was all said and done I did not want to go back to a dentist... ever. Alas the time came that I couldn’t avoid it anymore and Dr. Diercks made it as easy as possible.

He explained everything he did, and why he was doing it, and he also didn’t judge me for being a big baby, which I definitely was at some points during the appointment.

Also - as opposed to making me feel like a jerk for going without a cleaning for way too long, he just tried to use education and explain why it’s ever so important to come back every 6 months.

After having such a positive experience, I most definitely will stop avoiding the dentist."

"My husband and I were happy patients for 8 years until moving out of the area. Paul does his own cleanings. Looking at the comment about sensitivity after appointments, yes a bit, but we always found it went away quickly. The office is efficient, I don’t remember ever waiting but a few minutes for my appointment. I think he would be a good choice for a child - he is very perky. Kristie that runs the desk is very nice and helpful. I really appreciated that Paul never tries to sell to you, not cosmetic procedures, not products. I think they take most insurances."

"When I moved from Fremont to San Mateo, I decided to find a new dentist closer to my home. I randomly picked Dr. Paul from the Metlife website and I got lucky. He is always able to see me at 7:30am before I have to go to work. I’m pretty good about brushing and flossing so I’ve only had him do my exam and cleanings. I’m very happy with his services. And he always answers my questions in language I understand no matter how silly they are.

5 stars for Dr. Paul! Love how he gives me a really good toothbrush, too!"
